The title Tufang draws influence from Persian language, meaning a long-barrel firing gun. While Arjun Randhawa (Guri) and Rukshaar Dhillon (Deep) share a deep chemistry onscreen, Jagjeet Sandhu's acting prowess is apparent, with him getting into the skin of his character in the film-- Mouser Singh Brar. He essays a negative character, and is an onscreen brother-in-law of Guri. It starts with a gun stolen from a gun house run by Guri and his granddad. In a quest to trace the culprit, Guri goes a long way, eventually to discover something more than just a simple case of shoplifting. The thrill and suspense continues as director Dheeraj Kedarnath Rattan and screenplay writer Manila Ratan weaves a web of suspense along with dialogues of Gurpreet Bhullar, further complemented by film's action director Sham Kaushal.
The film moves around Guri, Jagjeet and Rukshaar. The film also has a strong message of using weapons only to eradicate crime and to stand up for truth. It shows how a gullible person falls in the trap of guys, who lured her for marriage.
